The angry spirits of those who died an unjust death or who otherwise had unfinished business can prove to be quite the nuisance to those still living, especially on the Feygloam. The yureiko, a fickle fey who resembles a stocky, muscular human with the head of a shark, helps to address this problem. Yureikos are the jolly ghost-wranglers of the Feygloam — they find and imprison angry spirits in barrel-sized flasks on their back, which, when opened, create a powerful ethereal vacuum effect that captures any ethereal undead within a hundred-foot radius of the flask. To survive, yureikos drink from their flask, consuming and destroying a spirit held within. Usually, yureikos can only consume one spirit at a time and will wait weeks or months before drinking again, as the ethereal forces are often extremely satiating and indulging too frequently can cause the yureko great discomfort, illness, or even death, similar to how an ogre’s stomach might burst if it somehow managed to eat thirty halflings in one sitting. A yureiko that drinks too greedily from its flask might swell to immense size before its body explodes into a spray of viscera and partially-digested ectoplasm.
