A werewolf that unwittingly consumes cursed or necrotic flesh, such as that of a revenant or a wight, becomes further cursed themselves — a hungering wolf. Hungering wolves remain permanently in their lycanthropic forms which are mutilated as a result of their forbidden meal. Their limbs grow long and gangly, their fur matted, and their stomachs burst open, flaps of flesh and trails of viscera hanging in the open air, giving the appearance of a second, gaping maw. Their hunger can never be satiated; no matter how much meat the hungering wolf consumes, it all falls out of their bodies, half-chewed and drenched in a layer of acidic spit. They trawl dark forests, treacherous mountainsides, and urban outskirts for any meat they can get their claws on. During the full moon, hungering wolves become even more rabid as their bodies are wracked by intense pain, causing them to howl and scream in unholy song.
