Cultroloths are the cruellest and most cunning of the yugoloths. In their true forms, these shapeshifting fiends resemble hunched-over kangaroos and wear shrouds of skin flensed from other creatures as a means to hide their faces. Cultroloths live for torture, and take particular interest in skinning their targets alive and using the skin to fashion garments with which they use to barter with other fiends. They often act as spies, interrogators, and torturers on behalf of devils in exchange for payment, be it in favors or another type of currency. Cultoloths build no loyalty and will work where pain is abundant and the pay is highest. Occasionally, cultroloths make their way to the Material Plane to wreak havoc. Some scholars believe that some of the most prolific serial murderers throughout history have likely been cultroloths in disguise.
